Clear Acrylic and Concrete Landscapes
Last week Terry dry mounted photos by photographer Sue Barr for her exhibition The Architecture of Transit at London’s Architectural Association. These striking and beautiful photos of monumental concrete road structures imposing their way through the Italian countryside and small towns, were mounted in a sharp and modern style: face-mounted to acrylic so that the photos sat behind 3mm deep clear acrylic and were backed by the substrate dibond. This style perfectly suited the strong, almost geometric shapes of the roads and bridges depicted in the photos and also gave them a necessary sense of depth and space.
This great exhibition runs until the 15th of February at the Architectural Association . To see more of Sue’s work visit: www.thearchitectureoftransit.com
